Experience the whole filmmaking process from an idea on paper to a screening at Bedford TV! Breaking down the process on an organized and cinematic level will increase your knowledge of how a film set works. Learn to write a screenplay, recruit actors, secure locations, create a shot list, mix audio, and edit it all together into a short film. Improve your skills and create a cinematic project unlike anything ever offered at Bedford TV!
Class Dates (All classes are from 3 pm to 5 pm):
September 12th, 19th, & 26th
October 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, & 30th
November 7th, 14th, 21st, & 25th
December 2nd
This class has a clear breakdown of Pre-Production (Writing & Preparing For Filming), Production (Filming), and Post-Production (Editing & Marketing).
In the first 5 weeks of the class, we'll be working on the screenplay (script) and preparing for filming.
We then have 4 weeks to film the whole project.
The final 4 weeks will be for editing the full film as well as a trailer.
We will also use this time period for creating a website and promotional graphics for the film to share on social media.
As you can see, this isn't just another Introductory class. This is for advanced students who have shown their abilities and can be attentive to detail in film.
