A sampling of our classes:

Intro To Filmmaking:

Want to become an expert filmmaker? First, master the basics with Bedford TV. Learn key aspects of the filmmaking process, such as composition, lighting, and shots & angles. Students will work with both field equipment as well as in the studio on multi-camera productions. Using what they learn, students will produce a show of their choosing (documentary, interviews, sports, etc.). It can be anything! After filming students will work together to learn the editing skills needed to finish their video. At the conclusion of the final class the students will be able to watch their video as it will be posted on Bedford TV’s YouTube page and aired on the Bedford TV community channel.

Intro to Scriptwriting:

Want to become an expert script writer? First, master the basics with Bedford TV. Learn key aspects of the scriptwriting process, and create your own short stories. Using what they learn, students will write their own script (documentary, interviews, sports, etc.). It can be anything! After writing their scripts students will learn how to take their short scripts together to learn the editing skills needed to finish their video. At the conclusion of the final class the students will be able to watch their video as it will be posted on Bedford TV’s YouTube page and aired on the Bedford TV community channel.

Advanced Filmmaking (Mentors Only):

Experience the whole filmmaking process from an idea on paper to a screening at Bedford TV! Breaking down the process on an organized and cinematic level will increase your knowledge of how a film set works. Learn to write a screenplay, recruit actors, secure locations, create a shot list, mix audio, and edit it all together into a short film. Improve your skills and create a cinematic project unlike anything ever offered at Bedford TV!
